Southend Youth Council hosted a Southend 2050 float at Southend Carnival on the 18th August 2018. Southend 2050 is a conversation involving Southend Borough Council to discuss the future of Southend and what people want the borough to look like in 2050. It involves opportunities to get involved with library comment cards, a survey and an online conversation as shown on the official page: http://www.southend2050.com/
Ex Youth Mayor Maise Riley writes:
We are proud to support Southend 2050 because we want to help build the Southend of our future. From a youth perspective we wouldn't be fulfilling our duty as one of the oldest youth councils in Britain if we didn't encourage and support campaigns aimed at transforming the lives of young people for the better. I encourage you to get involved with Southend 2050 and have your say in the future of Southend.
